Hospice Christmas Tree switched on!

Today a group of supporters of Archangel Michael Hospice gathered to mark the first switching on of the Hospice Christmas tree! The Hospice is now very close to completion, the electrical supply has been approved, all wet rooms installed, children’s area and main nursing station’s completed, wet rooms in en-suites installed, oxygen supply ready to connect, areas for the Kitchen, linen storage and sluice rooms completed, air conditioning and central heating radiators installed. Marcos Efstathiou, co-ordinator for the project stated “we are now entering the final stage of project handover, we can now start to think about recruitment of staff and the opening this much needed facility” When open the Hospice will provide free palliative care for all in need, regardless of religious belief, nationality, the nature of the Illness or age. Fr. Carlos Ferrero, chairman of the steering group stated that “the switching on of our Christmas tree marks another milestone in the completion and opening of the Hospice” The Hospice will care for Children and Adult’s in a dedicated purpose built unit.
