We had the great pleasure of welcoming the Patriarch today, following 9.00am mass he visited the Hospice shop, met with parishioners, joined us for coffee and then proceeded to bless the new Parish office above the shop. As if his day was not busy enough, he welcomed Priests from throughout the Island for Prayers in the Church followed by Lunch!
We were delighted to meet our new priest, Father Miguel De La Calle today. Following 9 o’clock mass today a group of parishioners had the opportunity of meeting and chatting to our Fr. Miguel at the Hospice shop with a nice cup of Tea and biscuits!!
A warm welcome to you Father Miguel from the whole parish.
The Kamares Christmas Fair which took place last weekend raised EUR550 for the St Michael’s Hospice Charity. The popular annual event is run by In Any Event who run and organise events in the Paphos area. We would like to thank In Any Event for the support they have given to the hospice project. Pictured to the right is Anita Hopkins of In Any Event presenting the cheque to David McKewan Chairman of the St Michael’s Hospice Charity.

We welcomed a group from Bavaria today, (mainly the Munich area) accompanied by 4 Parish Priests. Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding the Church already contained a group from Poland who were receiving Mass. The Hospice shop came to the rescue with Teas and Coffees served to the group whilst the Polish Pilgrims concluded their service, (we are grateful to the shop Volunteers for staying behind.) Following the mass and a presentation, the group very kindly donated EUR126 towards the Hospice, many thanks for this.
