Warsaw Pilgrims

Today we welcomed a small group of pilgrims from Warsaw, Poland. Mass was delivered by Fr. Roman (to the left on the picture), who is a Palatine pilgrimage organiser. During the Mass 4 bishops, who are here to attend the Bishops conference in Nicosia, unexpectedly dropped in for a brief visit to the Church!

Following a presentation on the Hospice €55 was donated. Once again we are thankful, it is very important that we continue to tell others about how a whole community can come together for such a worthy cause.

Thank you to our friends from Warsaw.

Polis Camp

Thanks be to God the children had their “Parish Camp”, the first one!

A lot of happiness as it is characteristic in them, games, competitions, prayers, fire at night, music and dancing…!

This is just the beginning… don’t miss the next one!

We thanks all who participated in it, specially the children and families who went to the camping, but also all who in one way or other made this happened.

400 Countdown Campaign

We are delighted to announce that following the Launch of the 400 Countdown Campaign in April 2011 to raise the €400,000 that is required to complete the Hospice, we have achieved our cash objective!

The campaign is now officially closed!

The campaign is a culmination of fund raising which has encompassed lunches, dinners, numerous presentations, hospice shop’s, parish hall activities, St Michael’s Hospice charity, monthly giving via standing orders, donations and many other activities. We have been fortunate to receive financial support from all over Europe via the many pilgrims visiting the church and from the UK where donations are gift aided.

We would like to formally thank everyone who has supported us from our many volunteers to our numerous donors.
